Kick-off Conference: the Draft Code

On 24 October 2025, the research group held a kick-off conference in Munich dedicated to the next phase of the project: the preparation of a draft European Capital Markets Code.

The conference addressed the overall framework of the Code and principles of prospectus regulation. It also focused on civil liability in prospectuses, including fundamental issues of conflict of laws, the possibility of a European prospectus liability rule and the elements of such a rule.

This conference marked an important transition from the publication of the project’s academic foundations towards the concrete development of a draft Code.
